This weekend I was looking through the family photos, an activity that is slowly transforming into a family tradition, each time we go home :).
It is fascinating how you learn new things about your history and your ancestors, each time you go through the family photos: new crazy stories from your parents childhood, or from what side of the family does your nose come from. Just try it and you’ll see 🙂
The oldest photo that I could find is taken in 1934, and it still has someone’s writing from that period:
It features my mother’s great father’s family. They are all dressed in traditional romanian clothes, made from vegetable and animal materials.
On the back, it’s preserved the old handwriting and the old-style grammar:
As years pass, these photos increase in value. So grateful that we still have these bits of past still physically with us 🙂
